Sheila Ann Wells

Sheila Ann Wells, 64, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Sheila Ann Hallowell was born October 14, 1961, in Emporia, the daughter of George Fredrick and Dessia Lavern (Earp) Hallowell. Even though born with spina bifida, she had will power to do whatever she set her mind too. She graduated from Osage City High School in 1979.

She had worked for RCIL and GMAC Financing before retiring from State of Kansas as a federal aid auditor.

Sheila is survived by her two brothers, Fredrick Hallowell and Edward Hallowell, both of Osage City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Cremation to follow services and inurnment later at Burlingame Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Spina Bifida Association of Kansas and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N.
