Russell W. Tatman

Russell Wayne Tatman, of Elmdale, KS, passed away at home on November 25, 2024 at the age of 61. 

The son of Jim and Judy (Mark) Tatman, Russell was born in Emporia, KS at St. Francis Hospital on October 17, 1963. As a child, Russell grew up in the Burlington area just north of New Strawn, KS and attended Burlington High School. Russell built his career in construction for over 30 years at Harshman Construction, where he served as a lead for 25 years before moving to drive truck for the company. Russell greatly cherished his relationship that was built with the Harshman family and all of the time spent together over the years. 

Russell was united in marriage to his wife Susie Hansen on November 11, 1981. Together, they had two daughters, Mandy and Mindy. Susie preceded Russell in death on May 3, 2014. Also preceding him is his mother, Judy Tatman.

Russell leaves behind his daughters, Mandy Giefer and her husband Jeff, and Mindy Engle and her husband Justin, both of Emporia, KS; his father, Jim Tatman of Sedan, KS; sister, Crystal Tracy and her husband Tim, also of Sedan, KS; and 4 grandchildren, Parker & Beckam Engle and Arrie & Leighton Giefer.
