RUBY M. WALLISER HARTFORD-- Ruby M. Walliser, 94, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, at Holiday Resort in Emporia.. Ruby Mae was born October 12, 1920 in Bethany, Missouri, the daughter of Myrtle (Lauderbach) Webb. She graduated from Neosho Rapids High School in 1939. She received a teaching certificate from Kansas Normal School and a bachelors in education from Kansas State Teacher College and a masters degree in education. Ruby had taught at many school from 1943 to 1986. She had taught at St. Joseph Catholic School in Olpe then later taught at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Emporia until retirement. Later, she ran the Hartford Senior Center for 15 years. She was joined in marriage to James R. Walliser in 1946. He preceded her in death in 2000. Ruby will be remembered by her son, James W. Walliser of Emporia; a half-sister, Erma Losser of Alaska and a half-brother, Bert Lauderbach of Washington. She was also preceded in death by a sister Wilma Spencer and a brother, Lester Webb. Services will be at 2:00 p.m, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Private burial to follow at Hartford Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ruby M.
