Roxiana Waechter

August 2, 1960 — February 17, 2021

Wednesday February 17, 2021 at 9:05 in the evening, Roxiana Waechter of Emporia, Kansas went to join her departed family members in Heaven. She was surrounded by family on her final day. She was able to enjoy a video put to music of her life in pictures yesterday to help ease her pain. She accepted her fate knowing God was at the gate to greet her with a warm hug.

Roxiana grew up in the country with her parents Vernon Charles and Judy Kay Johnson Jr. along with five siblings, Pamela Sue Thomas of Texas, Jay Vernon Johnson of Iowa, Terry Lee Johnson of Council Grove, Vickie Lynn Wilson of Larned, and Mark Allen Johnson of Burdett. She attended Hartford High School and graduated in 1978.

Soon after she picked up this habit of bowling. She bowled alongside her mother Judy, her grandmothers Betty Johnson and Hazel Collins. She bowled at both Emporia bowling alleys, Emporia Bowl and Bluestem Bowl, which later became Flint Hills Lanes. During her time there, she met some amazing friends. Vicki and Mark Braddy and Cindy and Howard Weltha joined her for many years knocking down the pins. She was President of the Friday night league for many years before she had to resign due to health reasons.

Roxiana married Alan Lewis Waechter on April 15, 1994 in her grandparents' farm house. Her four children Rebecca, Jennifer, Steven, and Angela, and one of his children, Lucas were in attendance and became a blended family from that day.

She attended the Church of God of Prophecy where Leonard Wagner would preach to her and her family. He has known the Johnson family for many years and will officiate the service.

She is preceded in death by her mother Judy, her maternal grandparents Walter and Gwendolyn Jacob, her paternal grandparents Vernon and Betty Johnson Sr., her paternal great grandparents Edwin and Hazel Collins, a niece Ann Marie Thomas, and a great nephew Vincent Bartruff.

She is survived by her husband Alan Waechter, Vernon Johnson Jr., Rebecca and Jamie Tafoya, Jennifer Tebbetts, Steven and Christina Wittgartner, and Angela Parker of Emporia, KS. Also by her siblings, Pamela and Don Thomas of Texas, Jay Johnson of Iowa, Terry and Tena Johnson of Council Grove, Vickie and Kevin Wilson of Larned, and Mark and Brandi Johnson of Burdett. Also her six grandchildren Daniel Tebbetts, Laci Tebbetts, Bryan Anderson, Bryce Wittgartner, Emily Wittgartner, and Jeffrey Wittgartner.
