Robert Edwin Carrier, Jr.

Robert Edwin Carrier, Jr., 70. Passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at his home in Harveyville, with his family at his side.

He was born on December 14, 1955, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Robert Edwin Carrier, Sr. and Leota Truman Carrier. Robert attended Burlingame High School and graduated with the Class of 1974.

While in High School he met the love of his life, Theresa J. Tucker. Robert and Theresa dated throughout school and were joined in marriage on June 25, 1977, at the Burlingame Federated Church. They made their home in Harveyville and recently celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary together.

Robert was an interictal member of the Wabaunsee County Fire District #3 volunteering for over 30 years. He was a longtime member of the Kansas State Fire Fighters Association. Robert worked for KDOT Road Maintenance for over 20 years, retiring in 2017. After retirement, he drove a cement truck for 5 years and later became owner/operator of a dump truck company with his son.

Robert was a hardworking man that always had a project in the works and was proud to pass down his work ethic to his children and grandchildren.

He will live on in the hearts and countless memories of his wife Theresa of their home in Harveyville; a daughter, Sara Carrier of Harveyville; sons, Adam Carrier and wife Misty of Topeka, Dillon Carrier and Wife Alicia of Harveyville and Quentin Carrier and wife Paige of Emmett; grandchildren, Trevor(Maddie), Denton, Allison, Joe, Josh, Meranda, Peyton, Kinsley, Teagan, Koewin, Aubrey, Kynnedi, Kambree, Damon and Brynn; twin great-grandsons, Granger and McGuthrie; two half-brothers, Lavern Stewart and Glen Stewart. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Korbie.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Harveyville Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the Fire House. Memorial contributions may be made to Wabaunsee County Fire District #3.
