Robert G. Baumann, 71, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at his home in Osage City.
Robert, “Butch” was born May 26, 1954, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Bill and Darlene (James) Baumann. He graduated from Prescott High School in Prescott, Arizona. He then attended Whalen Baptist College in San Antonio, Texas. Later he joined the Navy as a Hospitalman, First Class, and retired after 21 years of proudly serving his county.
Robert was married to Linda Kay Kingsborough on June 17, 1978, in Glendale, Arizona. Their daughter, Samantha, was born on May 16, 1990.
After retiring from the Navy, he and his family moved to a farm outside of Osage City. Robert, “Butch” was the man known in the Osage City area to be able to fix almost anything. He was the handyman, fixer, and problem solver for many in the community. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Robert’s kindness will always be remembered by his friends, family, and neighbors. His wife of the home, his daughter (Osage City), and his brother, Joe (Osage City) and nephew, Chance Baumann (Osage City) will forever cherish their memories of him.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Kent Baumann.
Cremation is planned. His celebration of life will occur at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to Alara Hospice and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
