Patrick Kent Jones, 66, of Osage City, died May 30th, 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by his daughters.
He was born on September 5, 1959, to William and Genevieve in Osage City, KS. He was the youngest of their five children.
Pat attended Osage City High School and graduated in 1977.
Pat was joined in marriage to Rebecca Fillmore in 1985 and welcomed two children, Hattie Lynn (Lee), and Logan Newton. Rebecca and Pat parted ways in 1988. He later married Carol Schaffer in 1993, and they had one more child, Audrey J. Jones. Pat and Carol parted ways in 1997. He then married Victoria Zavala on April 20, 2013, and welcomed three stepchildren, Olivia, Noel, and Anthony.
He worked many jobs through the years, eventually settling as a metal fabricator at Haas Metal Engineering in 1999. He retired from HME in 2017.
He was an avid fisherman, outdoors man, and general mischief maker. He will be remembered fondly for his good humor, hard work, and his passion about appreciating and preserving our local nature spaces (so he could fish there!)
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Vicky. His three children Hattie (Darius) Lee, Logan Jones, and Audrey Jones. His stepchildren, Noel (Billy) Dubay, Olivia Gonzales, and Anthony Zavala. His many grandchildren: Ronin Patrick Lee, Lila Jo Lee, Bodhi Michael Lee, Remi Nora Jones, Kimber Bailey Jones, Leah Dubay, Harold Dubay, Max Dubay, Alena Clark, Mia Zavala, Malina Zavala, Julian Zavala, Miklo Zavala, Macio Zavala. His sisters, JoAnn Jay, Katherine (Bill) Lincoln, and brother Dr. Micheal Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William L and Genevieve Jones, Brother William Jay Jones, and brother-in-law Steve Jay.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026, at St Patrick Catholic Church in Osage City, KS. Inurnment will follow mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Osage City. Memorials contribution may be made to The Nature Conservatory and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N.
