Michael (Mike) G. Storrer passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, surrounded by his two favorite people at his bedside.
Mike was born on May 24, 1954, to Francis and Patricia Storrer. He held a special place in his extended family as the first nephew on the Storrer side, a role that made him especially cherished.
On December 21, Mike married the woman of his dreams dolores (dee) Falcon. From that day forward, Mike and dee shared more than three decades of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. Together, they raised two sons, Matthew and Kiefer Storrer, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Mike spent many years working as an insurance sales agent, representing companies such as Farm Bureau, McGuinness Group, and Aflac. He was dedicated to his work and eventually started his own custom figure eBay business in retirement, but his greatest passion was always his family.
When he wasn’t working, Mike could often be found watching baseball or out on the field coaching. He coached numerous Little League teams, including his sons’ teams, and made a lasting impact on many young athletes. He even coached Kiefer’s soccer team, despite not enjoying the sport, simply because it meant supporting his son.
Mike was a devoted family man who would do anything for those he loved. He treated every team he coached like family, considering each player one of his own. His kindness, dedication, and love for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, dee Storrer; his sons, Matthew Storrer (Salina, KS) and Kiefer Storrer (Walla Walla, WA); his sister, Cathy McCarthy; his niece, Kelly (Brent) Weber; his nephew, Justin McCarthy; and many Storrer and Falcon “familia.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Patricia Storrer.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Monday, May 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Osage City, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church or the Osage City Parks and Recreation Youth Baseball and Softball. Contributions may be sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 North 6th Street, Osage City, KS 66523.
