Marlin M. Satterfield, 74, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
Marlin Marshall Satterfield was born January 18, 1951, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Marion “Bill” and Betty (Dailey) Satterfield. He attended Madison High School and obtained a certificate in Auto Mechanics from a technical college in Portland, Oregon. Marlin served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1976.
He was an auto mechanic for many years.
He survived by a daughter, Lori (Corey) Laswell of Newton, Kansas; three sons, Mark (Lea) Satterfield of Kansas City, Missouri, Shawn (Sarah) Satterfield of Emporia and Ryan Satterfield of Lawrence, Kansas; two brothers, Jim (Lenise) Satterfield and Tim (Carolyn) Satterfield, both of Emporia; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Betty Satterfield.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the First Christian Church in Madison. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial with military honors to follow service at Blakley Cemetery in Madison. Memorial contributions may be made Midland Hospice House and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O.
