Linda G. Place, 86, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Homestead of Tonganoxie Assisted Living in Tonganoxie, Kansas.

Linda Gail Place was born October 16, 1939, in Burlingame, Kansas, the daughter of Virgil Nathan Place and Pauline Grace Mundy. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Glenn T. Criqui, whom she affectionately called “Daddy” and who was a constant source of love and support throughout her life.

Linda graduated Burlingame High School in 1957. She was married and divorced. Throughout her working years, Linda was employed as a shipping and receiving clerk for Sears, a role she held until her retirement.

She is survived her brother, Larry Dean Criqui of Carbondale, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Criqui and her brothers, Glen Criqui, Charles Criqui, Glenn “Sonny” Criqui, Jr., and Bradley Laverne Criqui.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Federated Church in Burlingame, Kansas. Family will receive friends an hour before service. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
