James Emil “Jim” Rosetta, 77, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his home in Topeka.
James Emil Rosetta was born February 23, 1941 in Osage City, Kansas, the son of Quinto Emil and Virginia (Vietta) Rosetta. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1959.
He was joined in marriage to Susan Leigh Lombard on April 8, 1967 in Topeka, to this union two children were born Emily and Todd.
Jim had worked for the State of Kansas Department of Revenue until his retirement. He was a Kansas State University and New York Yankee fan, an avid gardener and fisherman.
He will be forever remembered by his wife, Susan Leigh Rosetta of the home; a daughter, Emily (Charles) Cheek of Emporia; a son, Todd (Shelley) Rosetta of Shawnee, Kansas; a twin sister, Judy (Ike) Eikleberry of Topeka and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. The family will receive friends an hour before service. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Osage City. Memorial contributions can be made to the James E. Rosetta Memorial Fund and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 W. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
