Gerry Dring-Fossey, 81, formerly of Greeley, passed away November 21, 2022 at Sunrise Senior Living in Denver, Colorado.
Gerry was born March 1, 1941 in Newton, Kansas. She was the daughter of Veda P. Kiser and Kenneth R. Kiser. She graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in Lander, Wyoming in 1959. Gerry married her former husband, Thomas E. Norton in 1961 and they moved to Greeley in 1965 where they raised their three children. In 1976 she married M. Jay Dring and was married for 26 years until his death in 2002. She then married Wilson "Willy" Fossey in 2004. They were married for 17 years until his death in 2021. Gerry retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 2005 after 40 years of service. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association for many years. Gerry and her husband Willy enjoyed many of their retirement years traveling to visit family in Kansas, Wyoming, Colorado and Washington. They also enjoyed taking cruises to the Caribbean. Gerry loved spending time with family and the many friends she made during her career, caring for her dachshunds and reading mystery novels. She also enjoyed decorating her home for the changing seasons and holidays, collecting dolls, dachshund figurines and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Gerry had a lively sense of humor and loved to laugh. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth R. Kiser, mother Veda P. Kiser, husband M. Jay Dring, and husband Wilson T. Fossey.
She is survived by her daughter Konnie Norton Thompson (Jack) of Denver and sons Kent E. Norton of Colorado Springs and Kim E. Norton of Phoenix, AZ; and former husband Thomas E. Norton (Kay). Other survivors include her brother Kenneth H. Kiser (Ann) of Lawrenceville, IL; three step-sisters, Joyce Haskins (Toby) of Independence, MO; Shirley Weaver of Sugar Creek, MO; Barbara Cali (Joe) of Carrollton, GA; four grandchildren, Chelsea Kancilia Banner (Kyle) of Denver, Holly Harward (Russell) of Colorado Springs, Thomas Jeffery (T.J.) Norton of Los Angeles, CA, and Jodi Monares (Dan) of Johnstown; and six great-grandchildren.
