Frances M. Lira

Frances M. Lira, 103, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at her home in Osage City.

Francsica Morena Lira was born October 10, 1913 in San Franciso de Rencon, Mexico, the daughter of Nicholas Lira and Gabriella Moreno. Frances family moved to the United States when she was two years old.

Frances was a housekeeper the majority of her life. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society in Osage City.

She will be forever remembered by her brother, Timoteo "Tim" Lira of Osage City and many nieces and nephews.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Frank, Margarieto, Jacinto "Cassie" Lira and three sisters, Mary Lira, Jessie Aguirre and Tremida Lira.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Osage City. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the church. Family will receive friends after the rosary. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Osage City.
