David Scott Dorr

David S. Dorr, 67, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home in Osage City.

David Scott Dorr was born December 28, 1958, in Emporia, the son of Max Clayton and Kilena Louise (Curley) Dorr. He graduated from Osage City High School in 1977. After high school, he got his schooling to become a barber. He did not get to be to become a barber due to mental illness.

David loved the KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs. He was a big collector of Jayhawk and Chiefs memorabilia. He was a frequent flyer of Marilyn’s Restaurant.

He will be forever remembered by his sister, Robin Dorr of the home; a brother, Max Kelly of Kansas City; uncle, John (Sheila) Curley of Osage City and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation is planned and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date in Osage City Cemetery. In lieu of flower or memorial contributions, it was requested that everyone take time to be kind to any individual that may be suffering with mental illness.
