Darlene June Haskins, 92, of Osage City, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Brookside Manor in Overbrook, Kansas.

She was born June 12, 1934, in Osage City, Kansas, the daughter of William and Alice Martin Lane. Darlene attended Osage City High School and graduated with the Class of 1951.

She married Jack W. Haskins on April 5, 1952, in Osage City, Kansas. They began their lives together living at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. They returned to Osage City and began their family following Jack’s military service. They later divorced.

They purchased Haskin’s Conoco in Osage City in 1957. Darlene worked with Jack as the Record and Bookkeeper for their business. She later worked as a cashier at Jerry’s Thriftway and owned and operated Trim-A-Weigh, all while raising their children. Darlene had also been an Avon representative. She was active member of the community throughout her lifetime and held memberships in Club 15, the Red Hats, the Osage City Eagles and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a proud supporter of the Osage City school system and attended many sporting events to watch her kids and grandkids.

Darlene was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church. She held membership in the Presbyterian Woman, helped with Vacation Bible School for many years and was instrumental in raising funds for the new Church windows.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Coleen Keeffe and Maxine Criqui; brothers, Tommy Lane, Bob Lane and Gary Lane; a daughter-in-law, Kay Haskins; a son-in-law, Jerry Seele and a companion, Leo Babler.

Darlene will live on in the hearts and memories of her daughters, Vicki (Matt) Lozenski of Leavenworth, Janet Seele of Baldwin City and Linda Jo (Mike) Vandevord of Scranton; a son, David (Barb) Haskins of Osage City; ten grandchildren, Mitch (Addie) Lozenski, Mindi (Chad) Rogers, Kristin (Nick) Amburgey, Jerod Seele, Clayton Vandevord, Cody Vandevord, Amie (Jeff) Lohmeyer, Kylie (Brock) Baxter, Hollie (Jason) Cooley and Ryan (Cailyn) Haskins; ten great-grandchildren, Roen, Thoren, August, Harper, Logan, Beau, Fletcher, Clark, Hutch and Suttyn; a sister-in-law, Judy Lane of Lawrence; numerous nieces and nephews and a community of friends.

Services will at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Osage City. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow services at Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Osage City Alumni Association and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. 6th Street, Osage City, Kansas 66523.
