Connie Jo Gilliland

Connie Jo Gilliland passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Petersons Nursing Home in Osage City.

Connie was born October 31, 1943 in Parsons, Kansas, she was adopted by the Crocker family. She graduated from Lyndon High School. She had worked as a housekeeper at the nursing home until health forced her into retirement.

She was joined in marriage to Thomas Francis Sapp, he preceded her in death and then later married Bill Gilliland, they later divorced.

Connie is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Sapp of Burlington and Paul Allen of Osage City and a dear friend and caregiver, Archlean Frye.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas O. Sapp on May 12, 2017; a brother, Leroy Crocker and a sister, Betty Kness.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Reading, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to the Connie Jo Gilliland Memorial Fund and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Service, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523.
