Beverly Sue Carlton Duncan, 80, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia.
She was born April 23, 1936 in Kiowa County, Oklahoma the daughter of L.L. and Viola Carpenter Stallard. She graduated from Shawnee Oklahoma High School in 1954. She moved to Lebo in August of 1955.
Beverly married Lyle Carlton, Jr. in March of 1956. They raised three children together and later divorced in 1984. She married William Duncan in March of 1985.
Beverly was proud to call herself a homemaker. She held membership in the Lebo Baptist Church, Lebo American Legion Auxillary and was a member of the White Rose Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.
She will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Neva Johnson and her husband John of Lebo; sons, Tom Carlton of Topeka and David Carlton of Columbus, Kansas; grandchildren, Zack Waldron, Rusty Carlton and wife Tabitha, Ashley Berry and husband Derek. Amanda Burton and husband, Craig, Rod Rutter, Esther Carlton, Deloris Carlton and Gretchen Hill and her husband Mike; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Berry, Kaycee Berry, Raegan Berry, Jaxon Berry, Hunter Burton, Gunner Burton, Bradleigh Powell and Conner Powell. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jr. Carlton in September of 2016 and her second husband Bill in 2007; two brothers, Charles Stallard and Fred Stallard.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Lebo Baptist Church.
Burial will follow services at Lincoln Cemetery. Beverly will lie in state from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Food Pantry an sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
