BETTY JO (GREEN) GILLIGAN

HARTFORD- Betty Jo Gilligan, 79, of Hartford, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at her home.

Betty Jo Green was born on July 6, 1938 in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph W. and Mildred B. (Etchison) Green. She graduated from Kokomo High School.

Betty was joined in marriage to Thomas H. Gilligan on January 18, 1963 in Kokomo, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1989.

She was a homemaker. Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hartford and was a member of the Altar Society.

Betty will be forever remembered by her daughters, Rhonda Kemper (J.C. Mautz), Amy (Mike) Wilson of Hartford, KS; Kelly McAllister of Warrensburg, MO; a son, Tom (Cathy) Gilligan of Hartford; a nephew, Noah Green of Los Angeles, CA; 10 grandchildren and 15 with 4 on the way great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and only brother, Mark L. Green.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a..m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hartford. The rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the church.
