WAYNE DALE SCHRADER, JR. OSAGE CITY- Wayne Dale Schrader, Jr., 61, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his home in Osage City. He was born January 26, 1953 in Spokane, Washington, the son of Wayne D. and Betty M. (Speakman) Schrader. He graduated from Osage City High School in 1971, he was active in football. In high school, he worked on his grandfather's farm and also helped in construction work in Osage City. Wayne joined the United States Navy after high school. He had 10 years of service and had many tours to foreign countries. Wayne had worked at IBP and Didde Glazier in Emporia and Frito Lay and Goodyear Tire in Topeka until he was disabled. Survivors include his mother, Betty Schrader of Osage City; two daughters, Jamie Schrader and Amy Schrader, both of Osage City; two sons, Shane Schrader of Austin, Texas and Jerry Schrader of Osage City, three sisters, Vickie Schrader of Arkansas City, Kansas, Cindy Sharpe of Gypsum, Kansas and Linda Robertson of Osage City; a brother, Ed Schrader of Osage City; five grandchildren, Paige Schrader, Ariel Brecheisen, Ethan Casebier, Noah Jay Schrader and Brianna Schrader; one great-granddaughter, Teighlynn Olsen. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Penny Schrader. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wayne D.
