Vanita "Jeanie" Ford

�� Vanita "Jeanie" Ford, 66, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Midland Care in Topeka. Jeanie was born March 7, 1949 in Silsbee, Texas the daughter of Joe H. and Christene G. Risner Ford. She attended Marysville High School. ��Jeanie married Ken Wanamaker in 1968. They had three children together before divorcing in 1980. Jeanie married Terry Brown in 1982 and they had two children together and later divorced in 1989. ��Throughout the years Jeanie worked as a housekeeping and laundry supervisor in area nursing centers. She was a skilled retail saleswoman, working at Ed Marlings, Macy's, ��and other retail stores in Topeka. She was currently working as a barista at the Starbucks on Fort Riley. ��Jeanie will forever live in the hearts of her family, which include three daughters, Anita Ramsay (Darren) of Liberty Hill, Texas, Dawn (Don) Tryon of Blue Rapids, Kansas, Heather (Chris) Turner of Junction City, Kansas; two sons, Kenny (Beth) Wanamaker of Waterville, Kansas and Dusty Ray Brown of Junction City, Kansas; Her companion of eight years, Gary Taylor of their home in Junction City, Kansas three sisters, Joann McDonald of Osage City, Kansas, Wanda Beckman of Overbrook, Kansas and Rhonda Ford (Henry) of Tonganoxie, Kansas; two brothers, Rick (Rita) Ford of Osage City, Kansas and Tom (Susan) Ford of Topeka, Kansas and twelve grandchildren. ��Services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will follow services at Osage City Cemetery.
