RUTH ANN SHAW


MADISON- Ruth Ann Shaw, 64, of Madison, passed away July 28, 2016 at her home.

She was born on May 5, 1952 in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Silas and Ruth Mary (Smith) Nicholas.

Ruth was joined in marriage to Billy Joe Shaw on Setember 14, 1972. She had worked at Madison Manor as a housekeeper for many years. After the Manor closed, she became a daycare povider at Granny's Daycare.

Granny will be forever remembered by her husband, Bill of the home; son, Silas Joe Shaw of Madison; sister, Rebecca Scobee of Madison; three grandchildren, Damian Gutierrez, Kloey Shaw and Silas Shaw and many children she took care of over the years.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Richard and Bradford Nicholas; a sister, Betty Sue Rice; four step-brothers, Johnny, George, Bill and Bob Vest; two step-sisters, Dorothy Clary and Mary Jane Tate.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the VanArsdale Funeral Home in Madison, Memorial contributions may be made to Ruth Ann Shaw Memorial Fund and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O.
