Naomi M. Weiss

Naomi M. Weiss, 73, of Lebo, passed away early Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Coffey County Hospital in Burlington, Kansas.


She was born on May 14, 1950 in Lebo, Kansas the daughter of William and Lois Christie Stowell. Naomi attended Hutchinson High School and graduated with the Class of 1968.


She was forever joined in marriage to Kenneth C. Weiss on October 10, 1969 in Arlington, Kansas. They lived in Arlington for awhile before making their home in Lebo in 1973.


Naomi took a job as a flagger with Blacktop the same company where her husband Ken worked as a foreman. Naomi later worked as a cook for two of the local area restaurants, Linda’s and Peggy Sue’s. She was very proud to call herself a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.


Naomi will live on in the hearts and memories of her husband of 53 years, Ken Weiss of their home in Lebo; her sons, Charles W. Weiss and his wife Angie of Lebo, Franklin W. Weiss and his wife Stacy of Troy, Missouri and Robert L. Weiss and his wife Wendy of Emporia; grandchildren, Allisyn Weiss, Cayla Weiss, Haylee Weiss, Brayden Weiss, Austin Weiss, Misty Weiss and Jacob Weiss; a great-grandson, Theodore Weiss; a granddaughter-in -law, Ashleigh Paige Weiss; sisters, Joyce (Don) Weinbrenner of Hillsboro, Loma (Lonnie) Seachris of Buhler, Helen (Dave) Ediger of Buhler, Ruth Hedger of Hutchinson, Wilma (John )Winn of Lebo, Debbie (Tony) Botkin of Lebo, Karen Lackey of Hutchinson: brothers, Rick Stowell of Hutchinson, Robert Stowell of Chino Valley, Arizona. She was preceded in death by sisters, Nadine Frye, Irene Stowell, Judy Whittington, Kathy McIver and Carol Blevins; brothers, Lyle Stowell, Melvin Stowell and Bill Stowell.


There will be a visitation held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Cremation will follow with private inurnment at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
