Naomi Florence Everly

Naomi Florence Messinger Everly, 87, passed away, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Stormont- Vail in Topeka.

She was born October 19, 1928 in Auburn, Nebraska, the daughter of Thomas and Alma Pasco Barton. Naomi attended Sabetha High School and graduated with the Class of 1946.

Naomi had worked as a Supervisor for the Cooking Staff at Knutson Manor in El Dorado.

Naomi married Robert Messinger on December 8, 1946 in Seneca, Kansas. They were later divorced. She married William Everly on March 8, 1974 in Eureka, Kansas. He precede her in death on February 8, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger L. Messinger in June 2014 and a sister, Frances Cordell and her parents, Thomas and Alma.

She will remain in the hearts of her daughters, Peggy Hodges and husband Dennis of Lebo and Patricia Whitley of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Julie Harrison, Dava Jones, Ryan Whitley and wife Leslie and Blake Whitley and wife Diana; great-grandchildren, Haley Harrison. Ty Whitley and Reagan Whitley.

Cremation is planned with private services being held at a later date.
