Mahlin Charles Gillespie

Mahlin Charles Gillespie, 40 passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2020 at his home in Lebo.
He was born September 10, 1980 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Dana Gillespie and Carolyn Fox.
Mahlin attended Lebo High School and graduated with the Class of 1999. During high school Mahlin excelled at athletics and academics. He went on to attend Emporia State University for a year following high school.
Mahlin had been active in scouting as a young man and would go on to earn Eagle Scout.
Following school Mahlin went to work with construction contractors in and around the Lebo area.
He will live on in the hearts and memories of his mother, Carolyn Willis of Haysville, Kansas; a sister, Natalie Mora and her husband Eduardo of Mableton, Georgia; a niece Emilia Mora; an aunt, Coleen Haehn of Derby, Kansas; numerous extended family and friends. Mahlin was preceded in death by his father, Dana Gillespie in 2019 and an infant brother, Charles Gillespie.

Cremation is planned with inurnment next to his father in Lincoln Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
