Louis "John" Siebuhr

��Louis "John" Siebuhr, 70, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia. ��He was born January 1, 1946 in Lebo, Kansas the son of Nuel James and Mary Louise Price Siebuhr. ��John attended Lebo High School and graduated with the Class of 1964. He joined the United States Navy in August of 1965 and proudly served for six years receiving an honorable discharge in August of 1971 with the rank of BM 3rd class. He later served in the National Guard. During his naval service he met the love of his life, Sandra Dorksen. They were joined in marriage on September 5, 1968 in Long Beach, California. John began working at I.B.P. in Emporia in 1969. He served twenty years working his way up to Management Support. In 1989 his health caused him to retire early. While working there he took keyboard training classes at Flint Hills Area Vocational Technical College. John's memberships include the Lebo Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He will live on in the hearts of his wife, Sandra Siebuhr of their home; daughters Janice (Mark) Miller of Lebo, Brenda (David) Schroeder of Lebo, Theresa (Brian) Graybeal of Lebo, Laura (Daren) Moore of Emporia; a son James Siebuhr of Lebo; sisters Ruth (Dave) Mahon of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Phyllis (Ken) Shirey of Bennington, Kansas; a brother, Clarence "Gene" (Bonnie) Carlton of Altamont, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Chelesea Snyder, Justyn Schroeder, Matt Miller, McKaila Siebuhr, Austin Moore, Gunner Graybeal, Brooke Moore and Dayton Graybeal; five great-grandchildren, Bentley Schroeder, Bentley Snyder, Blane Schroeder, McKynzie Snyder and Hemi Schroeder; brother-in-law, Ken Dorksen of Lebo; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; Nuel Siebuhr, Mary Louise Price Siebuhr Carlton, Everett Carlton; brother, James Martin Siebuhr.��
