LLOYD J. DOBLER OSAGE CITY - Lloyd J. Dobler, 93, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. Lloyd Joseph Dobler was born August 1, 1921 in Nucla, Colorado, the son of Joseph and Clara (Lemon) Dobler. He graduated high school in Scottsdale, Arizona and attended Arizona State University. Lloyd served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. Lloyd was joined in marriage to Grace Neilson on April 15, 1952 in Prescott, Arizona. He was a Registered Land Surveyor and worked for the Arizona Highway Department, PEC and had his own surveying business for 25 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 198 in Osage City. Lloyd will be remembered by his wife, Grace, of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth (Mike) Rodee of Wichita; a son, Neil (Beth) Dobler of Topeka; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three great�_grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Floyd Dobler and a sister, Irene Dossey. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Osage City. Mr. Dobler will lie in state from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society or First Presbyterian Church and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, Kansas 66523. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com.
