Leroy Eugene Frye

November 28, 1931 — February 2, 2024

LeRoy E. Frye, 92, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Osage Nursing Manor in Osage City.


LeRoy Eugene Frye was born November 28, 1931 in Auburn, Kansas, the son of Tom Roy and Jennie Pearl (May) Frye. He attended school in Auburn.


He served in the United States Army.


LeRoy was joined in marriage to Archlean A. Peterson on July 3, 1952 in Osage City. To this union, two children were born Thomas and Patricia.


He retired after years working at the Postal Supply Center. Along with his wife, they had numerous business and jobs.


LeRoy was a member of the Osage City United Methodist Church, American Legion and the Puppy Packers Camping Club.


He will be forever remembered by his wife of 72 years, Archlean, of the home; a daughter, Patricia (Donald) Branine of Osage City; a sister-in-law, Linda (Jerry) Bowin of Osage City; a brother-in-law, James (Carolyn) Peterson of Osage City; two grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Branine of Eudora, Kansas and Keisha (Jarred) Meek of Osage City; two great-grandchildren, Houston Branine and Gracie Meek.


He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Thomas LeRoy Frye and two sisters, Helen Knight and Louise Evarts.


Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Osage City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523. Condolences may be expressed at Vanarsdalefs.com.
