Jacob Walter Bellinger

Jacob Walter Bellinger, 77 passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Peterson Assisted Living in Osage City.

He was born June 3, 1946, in Fulda, Minnesota the son of Freeman and Rensena Schuur Bellinger. Jacob attended Wellsville High School and graduated with the Class of 1964.

Jacob once owned and operated Jake’s Texaco in Ottawa. He later worked in the oil fields north of Lawrence.  He spent several years as a forklift operator at Unilever in Gardner before retiring in the 1990’s.  Following his retirement, he delivered the Ottawa Herald for some time.

Jacob was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Weis and his second wife Carol Grauel. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sharon and brothers, Billy, and Jimmy.

He will live on in the hearts and memories of his daughters, Shelley Hamilton Rice of Colorado and Angela Hamilton McKeefery of Seattle, WA; sons, Mike Bellinger of Osawatomie, KS, Brian Bellinger of Pullman, WA, Mike Hamilton of Wellsville, KS and James Bellinger of Osage City, KS; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.; sisters, Lori, Kathy, Patti and Wanda and brother, Kenny.
