Harvey "Dale" Standiferd

Harvey "Dale" Standiferd, 59, of Lebo, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at his home after recently having surgery. Dale was born December 12, 1954 in Emporia, the son of Harvey "Bud" and Jo Rosine Standiferd. Dale grew up in the Olivet community and attended school there until it closed, then transferred to Lebo and graduated with the Class of 1972. After graduation he worked at Granger's Coop for a short time before going to work at Hallmark Cards in Osage City for several years. He continued working for Hallmark after the company moved to Leavenworth. Dale later returned to Lebo where he was employed for ten years by the Wholesale Water District. Dale was preceded in death by his parents. He will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Nancy Mark and her husband Rolland of Council Grove and Jean Davies and her husband Harlan of Lebo; three nephews, Scott Mark, Wyatt Mark and his wife Melissa all of Lenexa, Quint Davies and his wife Susan of Overland Park and one niece, Debra Braxmeyer and her husband Adam of Manhattan; three great nephews, Owen, Miles and Graham Braxmeyer and four great nieces, McKinley and Maggie Mark and Colleen and Meredith Davies. Cremation is planned and a celebration of Dale's life will be held at 7:00 PM., Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 PM. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Buck Foundation and sent in care of the funeral home.
