Obituary for Frederick Charles "Fred" Sapp

Frederick Charles Sapp 75, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Osage Nursing in Osage City, Kansas. He was born March 14, 1943 in Flagstaff, Arizona the son of Orde G. and Margaret Whitaker Sapp.  He attended Reading High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. Fred worked at Dolly Madison  in Emporia and retired after 40 years of service. He was joined in marriage to Frances Atchison on September 1, 1973 in Reading, Kansas. He will live on in the hearts of his wife, Frances Sapp of their home in Osage City; a son Edward Charles Sapp and his wife Rhonda of Hartford, Kansas; grandchildren Brandon and Brianna Sapp; sisters, Martha Hoskins of Columbia, Missouri, Rebecca Warnock of Phoenix, Arizona, Sara McCarty of Columbia, Missouri, Theresa Deever of Elgin Illinois, Nina Boyer of Henley, Missouri and Kathryn McCorkle of Evans, Georgia; a brother, Jon Sapp of Colorado Springs; numerous extended family and dear friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents;  brothers Tom Sapp and infant brother Joseph as well as a step son Sammy J. King Jr.  The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo.   Cremation will follow with inurnment at Arvonia Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Great Lakes Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at
