Donna F. Lewis

��Donna F. Lewis, 81, passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Emporia. ��Donna was born August 24, 1934 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Delpha White Pinkston. Donna attended Emporia State University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education an went on to earn her Master's Degree in Special Reading. She was joined in marriage to John H. Lewis on October 15, 1954. They made their lifelong home in Emporia where Donna taught Title One at four of the public elementary schools and Sacred Heart Catholic School. Her memberships included the First United Methodist Church of Emporia, the National Education Association and the National Reading Association. ��Donna will remain in the hearts of her husband, John H. Lewis of their home; daughter, Beth Prewitt of Wichita; son J.L. Lewis and wife Dawn of Leander, Texas; sister, Jackie Royse and husband Gene of Wichita; three grandchildren, Paige Paladino and husband Ehssan Zare, Cole Lewis, Sherry Lewis-Ramirez and husband Ben; three great-grandchildren, Lily Lewis-Ramirez, Banyan Lewis-Ramirez and Eli Zare. ��Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Burial will follow services at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home.
