Dale A. Truelove

��Dale A. Truelove, 80, Lake of the Ozarks, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Presbyterian Manor in Emporia. ��He was born May 24, 1934 in Hartford, Kansas the son of George Frederick and Mary Viola Kammerzell Truelove. Dale attended Burlington High School and graduated with the Class of 1954. He had proudly served in the Kansas National Guard from 1953 until 1955. ��He was joined in marriage to Shirley Viola Schotte on February 20, 1955 in Burlington, Kansas. Dale and Shirley spent the early years of their marriage in Iowa and Burlington before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. Dale began working in the maintenance department at the General Motors Automotive Plant where he retired in 1987 with over 25 years service. ��Following his retirement Dale and Shirley moved to Gravois Mills, Missouri at Lake of The Ozarks. Dale was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Greenville, Missouri which he helped build in the early 1990's ��He will remain in the hearts of his wife, Shirley of the home; daughters, Cynthia A. Tanck of Williston, North Dakota and Twila J. Brown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; sisters, Iona Dotson of Lebo, Kansas, Alice Blankley of Emporia, Kansas, Irene Lincoln of Burlington, Kansas and Mary Lea Williamson of Hartford, Kansas; brothers, Carl Truelove of Burlington, Kansas and Earl and Don Truelove of Hartford, Kansas; five grandchildren, Dale Austin Tanck, Toni Marie Tanck, Taylor Danielle Brown, Cortney Paige Brown and Afton Nicole Brown; numerous extended family and dear friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Freda Crouch and Louise Johnson and a baby brother, Victor Leroy Truelove. ��Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm., Friday, March 27, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia. Burial will follow services at Hartford Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and sent in care of the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at vanarsdalefs.com. ��
