Charlene M. Johnson

Charlene M. Johnson, 61, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at her home in Reading. She was born May 14, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Sr. and Dorothy Wamser Bowers. Charlene was raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area. She went on to graduate from Basic High School in Henderson, Nevada where she lived and raised her family. She worked at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada as a Shift Supervisor of Cashiers. She retired with over 30 years of service in 2007. After her retirement she moved to Reading. She will be forever loved by her daughter, Diane McKee of Ivins, Utah; a brother John Bowers of Reading ; a sister Alberta Southworth of Texas and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Allen Southworth, Jr.; two brothers, Albert Bowers Jr. and Dan Bowers. Cremation is planned with memorial services being held at 10:00 AM., Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Inurnment will follow services at Reading Cemetery.
