Bobby Leroy Dunn, Sr.

Bobby Leroy Dunn Sr., 83 passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his home in Neosho Rapids. ��He was born on September 2, 1932 on the family farm north of Neosho Rapids, the son of Chester and Alma Gentner Dunn. Bob attended Neosho Rapids High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. Bob was forever joined in marriage to Dorothy Williams on July 14, 1957 at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Neosho Rapids. The young couple settled on the family farm and remained there for over fifty years before moving into town three years ago. Bob had worked at Didde Glaser Printing from 1967 until retiring as a Production Scheduler in 1996. His love for farming endured throughout his lifetime. He took on numerous jobs throughout the years to make ends meet. This included driving a school bus and gravel truck as well as being a sales representative for Mason Shoes and Ashley Wood Stoves. ��Bob was a member of the Lebo Masonic Lodge #152 AF & AM and had served on the Neosho Rapids School Board for eight years. He will remain in the hearts of his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Dunn of their home; a daughter, Darlene "Dee Dee" Dunn of Wichita; a son, Bobby Leroy Dunn Jr., of Neosho Rapids; grandchildren, Renea Mattics and husband Jesse of Emporia, Joshua Dunn and wife Kelsey of Neosho Rapids and Chantel Dunn of Neosho Rapids; great-grandchildren Haven Dunn and Kaydence Mattics. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bud Dunn. ��Cremation is planned with memorial services being held at 10:30 AM., Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Memorial United Methodist Church in Neosho Rapids. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM., until 7:00 PM., Thursday evening at the church.
